21 T/C Leadwire Types

Rolfes @ Boone set the Color-Code Standard for the leadwire industry. With reference to Rolfes @ Boone leadwire as the current and most widely used color-code, use the following charts to verify which code your facility is using.

Note: The #1 Thermocouple at the bottom of each temperature cable.

* The HotSpot leadwire has a BROWN Plastic Jacket and in rare circumstances, depending on the installer, the VIOLET wire in each group may be the SEVENTH Thermocouple in this group.  (i.e. similar to the current industry standard leadwire, black #1, blue #2, green #3, red #4, yellow #5, clear #6 and violet #7)

Verify the color-code with an OHM meter prior to replacement.
